1) What is RTVi?
RTVI is the leading independent Russian-language channel that broadcasts in Russia, Europe, Israel and the United States, providing local programming in each market.

2) What kind of programming does it offer?
RTVi has a wide array of programs including talk shows, soap operas, thrillers, and signature independent news.

3) Which providers carry RTVi?
In the United RTVi is broadcast nationwide

4) Does Nielsen rate it?
No. To date no ethnic-Russian media outlet is rated by Nielsen or any other rating agency. This is mainly due to relatively small market segment for raters of their scale. Our Account Executives and Media Placement Division use their many years of experience with ethnic media to maximize the ROI for our clients.

5) Who are the competitors?
The other players on the ethnic-Russian TV market in the US are: Channel One Russia-official channel of the Russian government with high quality entertainment programming, but known for very rigid censorship and pro-Kremlin bias; NTV-America—another channel funded by the Russian government, yet with less political focus.

6) Does GAS work with all of them?
Yes, as an advertising agency we place our clients on any channel that will help them maximize their ROI.

7) What’s the relationship of Global with RTVi?

10) What ad formats are available on RTVi?
Aside from traditional 15-,30-, and 60- second spots, RTVi offers 2-,3-, & 5-minute spots as well as 23-minute infomercials giving you an opportunity to present your business or product in more detail.

11) Why are the prices higher than local rates of mainstream channels on Cablevision?
The reason for this is because you are going after a very targeted consumer-base. While per-shot cost on Cablevision might be lower, you will end up spending a lot without a guarantee of tapping into the demographic that the ethnic media can deliver.

12) What is the smallest budget I ca test with?
There is really no rule of thumb, as every product is unique. Generally, we recommend working with your Media Sales Rep to ensure that your campaign is optimized to be most effective. We have also created a number of introductory packages for first time advertisers.

13) Are there discounts?
Please refer to the rate card. Your Media Sales Rep will always work with you to deliver the most value for your advertising budget placed with RTVi.

14) What’s the best time slot to place at on RTVi?
It really depends on your product or service and the market you are targeting. We recommend examining the current RTVi broadcasting schedule with your Media Sales Rep to see what kind of placement will work best for you.

15) How do I know if my spots were aired?
We can provide monthly placement reports 15 days after the end of the calendar month.

16) Where can I create a TV spot?
Your media Sales Rep can recommend a number of vendors used by Global Advertising Strategies that can develop a quality TV spot for you within your budget. Long-format infomercials are produced by RTVi and production costs are included in the rates; please refer to the rate card.

17) I have an English-Language TV spot-can it be adapted to Russian?
In most cases-YES! Global can provide this service or can refer you to another service provider.

1) How big is the Russian Market in the US?
According to recent research, the Russian-speaking population in the United States is over 5-million-strong, with the biggest markets being NY metropolitan, Chicago and Los Angeles.

2) How many live in the NY Metropolitan area?
NY metropolitan (Tri-state area) is home to over 1.5 million Russian-speaking consumers.

3) What are their demographics?
Russian-Americans are a highly diverse universe of the Former Soviet Union. 53% are 35 to 60 years old. Average personal income of a Russian-American living in the US is $41,270. This makes the Russian-American community one of the most affluent. In comparison, the average Asian-American earns $34,000 and the average Hispanic American earns less than $20,000.

The average Russian-American household contains 2.53 people.

84% of Russian-Americans have personal credit cards and 69% use the internet at least once a week.
